Projects
Having traveled widely I noticed that there are many groups coming together to discuss consciousness and personal development. When I returned to my home town of Manchester, UK I found no such groups. As such I endeavored to start 'Holistic Manchester' which is a group (facebook based) where people can come together in person and meet, learn and share their understanding and relationship to personal growth, development and happiness.
As a scientific explorer and researcher I come across many different worth while projects that are serving the community and world at large. When I do I often become involved with these helping promote their work through my contacts or actually contributing to the work being carried out. Please look at this interesting collection of projects which I am happy to talk to you about in greater depth.
DIARY - a brief outline of my movements in the world where and when you might be able to find me. Often my schedule is last minute and so there is not time to update before the events occur.
COMMUNITY Or COMMON UNITY -
We are all looking to connect the dots and not repeat work already being done.
In my home town of Manchester, England I am bringing people together under the title of Holistic Manchester - You can see this on the Facebook group of the same name - or you can go straight to www.HolisticManchester.com or simply click the link to Holistic Manchester. I have a FACEBOOK group called HOLISTIC MANCHESTER which sets to hold spiritually minded events to expand consciousness of the community. See the group for more information on local events. For example every 3 months I hold a Holistic Manchester Social & Networking event - where community comes together and shares knowledge around holistic medicine, including yoga, meditation, massage, therapy, aromatherapy, energy medicine, wellness, health and much more.
One technique is to create a FACEBOOK Profile and then a group from that group you can create events. Add my professional profile here. I would recommend that in your facebook friends list that you create separate 'lists' of the location and sub groups all your friends fall into. This way when you create an event in a specific location you are not sending the invitation to your entire group, some who might not even live on the same continent as your event. This way there is less annoying traffic in the form of emails to your contacts. :)
Start adding all the friends and colleagues you know and then start to add them to your groups -Offer them interesting tips on relevant topics to the and keep them entertained with links and videos from other sites (youtube etc) - My YOUTUBE PROFILE
Additionally I now have a TWITTER account where you can get interesting updates on my activities and observations about the world - Add my Twitter Profile
For the wider community I have several facebook groups: One called 'Mark Abadi - Where Science meets Spirituality' which sets to connect people together from around the world, into a global community. Another being the World Wide Wellness group in association with the University RMIT in Australia.
More community news soon.
regards
Mark
